Profile Information
We recommend and encourage you (and all our users) to think carefully about the information you disclose about yourself. We strongly advise against including sensitive information on your profile, such as email addresses, URLs, instant messaging details, phone numbers, full names or addresses, credit card details, national identity numbers, driver’s license details, and other sensitive information that could be misused or abused.
When you post information about yourself or use the messaging function to communicate with other users, the amount of personal information you share is at your own risk.
Profile Verification Information (Including Biometric Information)
For safety and security and to ensure you have the best possible user experience, we require users to verify their accounts. This may involve asking for your phone number, and in some instances, we might also request that you complete photo verification to confirm your identity. This process helps us prevent the creation of fake accounts that could be used for malicious activities or cybercrime, which threaten the integrity of the LunchME network and the experience for all users.
In addition, for work or education verification, we may ask you to verify your information by providing your work email or by uploading documents such as an offer letter, job letter, or other evidence of your professional experience. This verification may be required for the prevention of fraud and to maintain the credibility of our user base.
Purchases Information
If you decide to purchase an invite for coffee chat services through the LunchME platform, we will process your payment information securely. This includes any necessary details to complete the transaction, such as credit card information, billing address, and purchase history.
Your payment information is processed through our payment partner, Stripe, which ensures that all transactions are handled with the highest levels of security, including encryption and compliance with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard).
We retain your payment information securely for the following purposes:
• Prevention of Fraud: Ensuring that your transactions are legitimate and safeguarding against fraudulent activities.
• Audit and Tax Purposes: Complying with legal requirements for financial record-keeping, including audits and tax filings.
Geolocation Information
If you have granted the LunchME app access to your location through your device settings, we may collect geolocation data when you use the app on your mobile device. This includes information about nearby WiFi access points as well as other location data, such as your device’s longitude and latitude. We may save your device’s coordinates to offer certain features and functionalities to you.
The collection of this information helps us to:
• Identify Your Physical Location: This allows us to personalize the app experience and make it easier for you to interact with other users. For example, we may display general locality information on your profile, allowing other users to see how close you are to them, and show you profiles of other users who are near your location.
If you have granted the LunchME app access to your location but wish to disable this feature, you can do so by adjusting your device settings:
• For iPhone Users: Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > LunchME and turn off location access.
• For Android Users: Go to Settings > Location > LunchME > Permissions > Location and modify the permissions accordingly.
Device Information
When you use the LunchME app, we may collect information about your device, including but not limited to the unique device identifier, device model, and operating system. This information is collected for various purposes, such as improving the app’s performance, ensuring compatibility with different devices, and enhancing your overall user experience.
Additionally, if you grant permission, the app may access your device’s address book solely to help you add someone to your contacts within the app. This feature is designed to make it easier for you to connect with other users and is entirely optional.
Links
We may keep track of how you interact with links available on the LunchME app, including links to third-party services. This may involve redirecting clicks or using other methods to track link interactions. We use this data to understand how users engage with content and to improve the relevance and effectiveness of the links we provide. Aggregate click statistics, such as how many times a particular link was clicked, may be shared with our partners or for analytical purposes.
Surveys and Other Contributions
From time to time, we may conduct surveys for research purposes or to gather feedback on your experience with the LunchME app. We may contact you to invite you to participate in these surveys, provide a testimonial, or take part in marketing campaigns. For example, if you have a positive experience using the app, we may ask if you would be willing to feature in our advertising campaigns.
Participation in surveys and marketing campaigns is entirely optional, and more information will be provided at the time of contact. If you prefer not to be contacted for these purposes, please let our Customer Support Team know, and we will respect your preferences.

We believe our users are exceptional, and we want to provide you with opportunities to share your uniqueness with the world. Our app is designed to make it easier for you to connect and interact with other users, and as part of that, some of your information may be publicly visible.
When using the LunchME app, you should assume that anything you post or submit on the app may be publicly viewable and accessible, both by users and non-users of the app. We encourage our users to be mindful of the information they choose to share, as it may eventually become public.
